POST 143 HISTORY
WWI Gunny Sergeant John M. Spruill
On March 19, 1935, Gunny Sergeant John Spruill and twenty nine other veterans of WWI signed a Temporary Charter for Carroll Post, The Department of Georgia, No. 143. Since its creation, Post 143 continues to be an active contributor to the Carroll County community and to its veterans. The founding Charter members were:
