NEW MEMBERSHIP:
Veterans that have never been a member of the American Legion before can fill out The NEW Membership Application Form and click SUBMIT. Afterwards, you will be contacted by the Membership Committee Chair, SVC Al Hillman, to schedule an appointment to finish the application process. Please bring $40.00 for the Post's annual dues and a copy of your DD-214 (Black out the Social Security Number)
TRANSFERS:
Veterans wishing to apply for transfers from your current Post to our Post must contact the Membership Committee Chair, SVC Al Hillman at legionairreal@gmail.com to schedule an appointment to complete the application process.
Please remember to bring the following:
- Complete the American Legion Transfer Membership Data Application (Click here to download) and bring with you.
- Provide a copy of your DD214 discharge. (Black out the social security number)
- Provide a copy of your membership card.
- Membership dues payment of $40.00 (Cash only) must be paid if current year dues have not been paid.
RENEW MEMBERSHIP ONLINE: (Recommended)
Post members can renew their membership online by going to mylegion.org and click on membership, then renew.
2. RENEW MEMBERSHIP IN-PERSON AT THE POST:
You can either schedule an appointment to meet at the post or you can renew during the Regular Membership meeting held on the third Thursday of each month beginning at 1800hrs
3. RENEW MEMBERSHIP BY MAIL:
Please fill out the Renewal Form you received in the mail and mail it along with your membership dues of $40.00 (Check Only) to the address below. Include your name and Member ID number as printed on your membership card to:

Membership Requirements
An individual is eligible for membership in The American Legion if the individual has served in the Armed Forces of the United States at any time during
- the period of April 6, 1917, through November 11, 1918;
- any time after December 7, 1941.
Because eligibility dates remain open, all members of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join The American Legion at this time, until the date of the end of hostilities as determined by the government of the United States.
Must have served at least one day of active military duty during one of the dates below and honorably discharged or still serving honorably. :
